What You Actually Get in Each Clean

People message me asking what the difference is between the three, so here it is properly, no waffle.

$45 — Exterior Only

Outside hand wash, wheels and tyres, exterior windows. About 45 minutes. This is the one for when the car's fine inside but the outside has copped it — bird mess, dust, a fortnight of driving.

$80 — Full Clean

Everything in the $45, plus the mats out and every seat moved forward so I can vacuum right under them, all the seats vacuumed and wiped down, a wipe-down through the dash, console, wheel and handbrake, and the exterior shampoo wash. About an hour and fifteen. This is the one most people book and it's the one I'd pick myself.

$120 — Premium

Everything in the $80, plus a wax-boosted wash, Terminator degreaser through the wheels, tyre shine, Magic Plastiq on the door sills, trims and jambs. About an hour forty-five. The wheels are the bit people notice — brake dust bakes on and normal washing doesn't shift it. That's the degreaser's job and it's Premium only.

Now the honest bit — what you don't get

No polish, on any of them. No wax on the $80 either — the wax-boosted wash is the $120.

And it's a clean, not a full restoration. If the car's really had it, it'll come back looking miles better, but I'm not going to pretend I've turned a ten-year-old work ute into a showroom car.

The price doesn't move

A little hatch and a big filthy 4WD cost the same. No size loading, no add-on charges, no surprise on the invoice. Whatever you drive, it's $45, $80 or $120 and that's the number.
