Where is Lawson's Car Cleaning located?
I'm based in Bateau Bay, NSW, running a drop-off only studio (no mobile or at-home service). It's just me — every car is cleaned by me personally, start to finish, so you get the same standard every time. It's a convenient spot if you're searching for a car wash near me around Bateau Bay, Long Jetty or the wider Central Coast. All bookings are by appointment only.

Do you offer mobile car cleaning or call-outs?
No — I don't do mobile cleans or call-outs, and I don't travel out to customers. Every car is done at my drop-off spot in Bateau Bay on the Central Coast. Working from the one place means I've got control over the environment, the products and the equipment, and that's a big part of how I keep the price down: $45 outside for any car, $80 or $120 inside and out, or $100 / $140 for 7-seaters, 4WDs and utes. You book a time online, drop the car to me, and pick it up clean.

What is included in your $80 car clean?
Here's exactly how an $80 Full Clean goes, in order. Mats come out, every seat gets moved forward and the whole inside gets vacuumed, right under the seats and into the crevices. The mats get vacuumed separately outside, the dash, steering wheel, console and door trims get a microfibre wipe to lift the dust, then the mats go back in. Once the inside's done I'll text you a before and after of it and let you know how it's tracking. The outside starts with two full rinses around the car before any soap touches the paint, then a shampoo hand wash and wax, panel by panel with the roof last. The wheels and tyres get done last with their own separate mitt, so wheel grit never goes near your paint. Exterior windows come up streak-free, then it's a dry-off with a proper drying towel — windows first, roof last. I do a final walk-around before I hand your keys back, then you'll get a text that it's ready to grab. The $120 Premium Clean does all of that plus Terminator degreaser on the wheels, tyre shine, Magic Plastiq on the door sills, trims and jambs. The $45 Exterior Wash & Wax is the outside only. The full and premium are $100 and $140 on 7-seaters, 4WDs and utes.

How long does a standard cleaning session take?
The $45 Exterior Wash & Wax takes about 45 minutes, the $80 Full Clean about 1 hour 15, and the $120 Premium Clean about 1 hour 45. On the $80 and $120 I'll text you a before and after of the inside halfway through, then text you again when your car's ready to pick up.

Do I need to book an appointment in advance?
Yes. I work by appointment so I can give each car the time and attention it deserves — you can book online any time of day or night in a couple of taps. I clean Monday to Friday, 8 till 4, but you can drop off and pick up whenever suits: the night before, first thing, or after work. Pop the key in the letterbox if I'm not out front — your keys and your car are safe with me the whole time. Before you drop it off, just clear out any rubbish and loose bits. Child seats can stay in and I'll vacuum around them, but if you want under them done, take them out first. Same with the boot — clear it out if you want it vacuumed, as I won't move your belongings. If it's raining on your booking day, I'll move you to another day free of charge, no dramas. Pay by cash, card or PayID, whatever's easiest.

Do you clean larger vehicles like SUVs or 4x4s?
Yes, I clean most passenger vehicles, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and 4x4s. If you're unsure whether your vehicle is suitable for my cleans — $45 exterior only, $80 full inside and out, or $120 premium — get in touch and I'll let you know what to expect and whether any extra time may be needed. The price doesn't change on the day — the $45 outside is the same for any car, and the full and premium are $100 and $140 on 7-seaters, 4WDs and utes. And no car's too far gone — sand everywhere, dog hair, kids' mess, months of neglect, I've seen it all and I won't judge it.
